Important date

Post by gordon »

Guys,

This is to give formal notice that our final scheduled event for 2014 will be held on Thursday 11th December. We hope to make it a special event where we'll be racing my new Vintage Sports IROC class which is due to become a regular alternating class next year. Here's how this particular event will be run (this example assumes that there will be 12 drivers):
  • All drivers will qualify the same car.
  • The top three qualifiers and 7th, 8th and 9th will drive the first six heats, each driver driving each car.
  • The 4th, 5th and 6th qualifiers and 10th, 11th and 12th will drive the next six heats, each driver driving each car.
  • The final six races will comprise the drivers placing in the first three positions in the two heats, based on accumulated points. Again, each driver will drive each car.
  • Heat races will be over 20 laps, final races over 25 laps.
You can read more about the cars we'll be racing here:

So mark your calendars!

A-okay GG,

I marked my calendar already for this new type of (Vintage IROC Sports) racing. Its sounding GR8 as it is for an end of year 2014 special event ~ as well as a regular alternating class for next year.

On the flip side - seeing you didn't mention there is no more room this year for the (June) planned LMP-E/GT-E endurance special event.

How about starting off FRC's 2015 racing with this: LMP-E/GT-E Endurance Special Event.

Sure it will be cool to have back to back special events 8-)
