Seven drivers took part in our Lambo Series and F1 event. In practice it was clear that the Lambos remain very well matched and we knew that racing would be close as long as drivers kept it in the slot. The performance of the F1 cars was more spread out, with the Bhola machines setting the pace as usual. Luke B. set a blistering pace in qualifying over half a second quicker than the next car, the McLaren of dad Ramesh.
The six Lambo races were hotly contested as was predicted during practice. Three drivers ended up with two wins apiece and it came down to their lower placings to determine the class winner amongst them.
F1 was a different story. Team Bhola dominated and would have done even better had it not been for for some mechanical issues with Luke Bs car. In many ways it looked like a series of two-class races - the Bhola cars and the rest, although various incidents reshuffled the pack during some of the races, giving others a chance to move up in the placings.
