Because I'll be tied up with 1/1 car racing this coming weekend, I spent last weekend working on cars for next week's event for our HS, VS6075 and SC classes and what a lot of time and work it was! Wanting to try to improve my HS cars and with regulation changes for the latter two classes I had my hands full. Where to start? With our VS and G5SC classes being now combined into VS6075, including a set of regulation changes, my biggest challenge was deciding on which cars to prepare. I started by laying out all the prospects and doing some checks to help narrow them down. Here are the 16 cars I started out with:
After many workbench tests and partly by process of elimination, I came down to the following 9 "finalists", 3 for HS, 4 for VS6075 and 2 for SC:
Of these, the only car that was left untouched was my HS Capri. Every other one had some work done, some more than others. Let's see how they run next week.
Cars ready for next event
Re: Cars ready for next event
Amazing selection there Gordon: 11 VS/Gp5 cars !! I'm sure that you have all of the 9 'finalists' up to speed. Looking forward to see them, particularly the NSU, on the track.
Also looking forward to seeing no. 33 in action at Wallerfield on Sunday. All the BEST !!!

Extremely impressive 1/32 work there Gordon and how you are now involved with 1/1 racing again, is just so unbelievable. I find it difficult to understand how you still try and get all these slotcars ready for upcoming events. On the other hand - I'm sorry to say that I haven't even picked up any of my slotcars (as yet) to do anything ... for 2016.
Now, although I did mention (here and there) that I will continue to support SSD and SSA racing - I just don't seem to have that "addiction" like I use too, for tuning and setting up 132 cars. I even recently gave away a whole set of (not used much) slotcar spares and trying to find the time to see what else I can ... At the same time - I must let you know though, I kept important things like my Slotit Gear Puller, NSR Precision Allen Driver, MB Slot Car Setup Plate and other tools needed plus spare parts that I know could well be important down the road.
That said, I suppose I will just have to see how things go as time goes along with me tuning/building cars for our slotcar racing.
Anyway and as usual, you sure posted some marvelous and meticulous looking pics of your workbench and all your VS6075 cars.
