Guys,
Having heard everyone's thoughts on the question of Ramesh's F1 car running two bar magnets in contravention to our F1 rules, I have decided that this car will be disqualified from the two races in which it competed. Having seen the legal magnet arrangement of car he used for the first three races, I feel that in fairness his places and points for these should remain.

I am glad to agree with you here (page one) and try going about having a level F1 "racing" playing field on the FRC circuit...
Its about FRC (maybe) going back to box-stock (Scalextric-brand) F1 cars (with few changes done) and fully believe it should be the (2005 - present day) models with the FF motors only
We now know today again - after 37 F1 races using the FC vs FF type motor cars together, how they bring about different & SIGNIFICANT "lap time" results ...
Here's some suggestion/points on this topic to help level playing field and tell me if it doesn't add up to something good in F1 racing entertainment.
Race - Should be no more than 20 to 25 laps.
Motor - We know these FF motors have great straight line speed & can handle racing lenghts of up to 25 laps comfortably.
Magnet - The stock bench/step type magnet could now help to slow down the pace of these cars, especially on the corners plus not putting much strain on FF motors and F1 chips...
Tyres - This being FREE (any compound) will help with the cars cornering power.
Now, just putting these 4 points together - this could all add up to a very skilled, controlled & enjoyable race.
However, the big issue with these (so-called) shatterable F1 cars and remembering how hard your McLaren hit a real concrete wall during qualifying & yet still out of the 5 races for the night (with two 1st. & three 2nd. places) you won the championship. Sure you would agree with me that FRC's F1 racing is all made up of luck, skill, concentration, pleasure and pain with these ALL "delicate" fragile cars.
I'm not trying to hold back progress (as some may think) here but only toning the speed down a bit in F1 racing.

Arden, I definitely agree that the regulations should stand till the end of the year unless we all decide that some sort of change is required. As for the F1 class, I'm inclined to feel that we should all be racing with the same type of motors, whether FF or FC-130. When the time comes to make significant changes like this at the start of next year, we can discuss this at length at a meeting like we the one had at the start of this year.

I really dont see why wait till the end of the year to make a simple change to this class (F1) when there was no changes done at start in the first place. Atleast, from what I am seeing in the regs atm and Gordon, if you're leaning towards making a change about racing the same type motors for this class - why not call it..?
You being the FRC Leader - all must understand (whether or not happy) we are guided by your decision because what are the chances, that all are going to decide on a change at the same time.
Here is a SS - How about you do one of those polls here for the FF or FC motors only (or both) in F1 class.
Remember - FRC is a fun track
