RACE REPORT #361 - July 11th 2026 (RCnm, KBnm)

Our three hundred and sixty-first event, this one for our Rally and Kitbash classes, took place just one week after our previous Clubman time bracket competition. As almost always is the case for our rally events, Ramesh graced us with his presence, along with his very fast cars and almost faultless driving.

Nonetheless, the on track rivalry was very competitive, everyone pushing the cars they drove to – and sometimes over – their limits. Both the rally stages as well as the racing saw a lot of action and close results. With football World Cup fever in high gear, we had to keep things going with minimal long breaks as no one wanted to miss the 5:00PM match between Norway and England. Peter had kindly opened his living room to us for the game which we thoroughly enjoyed watching on his very large TV.

After the match, we packed up the track and took off to our homes, no doubt thinking about the work we'd need to do on our cars for the next event.

Great event as usual at FRC !
The Rally event has always been one of my favourites and this event didn't disappoint. My recently reconfigured Peugeot 406 finally made its competition debut. It actually made its appearance at the last rally event but didn't take part due to a chip issue. I sorted it out and am glad to see that the car is competitive. It clearly requires a certain driving style (which I'm not used to) to get the best out of it.
Kitbash is another of my favourite classes but clearly my cars are not now fast enough, just being able to scrape a podium in one race. My also recently reconfigured Renault Megane also made its competition debut. It needs some sorting to be able to improve upon its fourth place race finish.
Very nice to relax after the racing was done and take in some World Cup football action. Thanks Pete !
Congrats Ram on winning Kitbash class and taking top points for the event overall.
Congrats also to O'Brie on taking Index Of Performance accolades.
Looking forward to the next event !
