The fifth row on the grid (ninth position) is also a former F1 World Champion and sure he will be in the top 3 at the end of the race tomorrow

Luke, while I know Alonso's talent, it's wasted on that Ferrari. He'd be lucky to be on the podium against the superior equipment driven by very talented drivers.

All I could say is Money cant buy LUCK and a WIN is a WIN.
This F1 driver F. Alonso is a great example for LIFE ~ He takes a bad situation and makes good out of it!

Luke, I've got to take back my comment above. I know that that the race was chaotic to say the least but I have to give Jack his jacket. Alonso was superb. The only other man opening my eyes was Perez in a lowly Sauber. What a drive! Definitely a man to watch. Rain... The great equalizer.

If so ~ that will be a great (matched/drivers) Ferrari Team
But GG - isn't Schumy & Hammy known to be the Great Racing Kings in the Rain
Its like they forget their "crowns" home this race

Perez was a Ferrari Driver Academy driver, so its only natural to imagine that he will drive for them once they believe he's ready and if they are looking for a new driver. I believe that both these are in the cards, especially after Malaysia.
You're right about Schumi's and Lewis' rainmaster reputations. As I recall, Schumi got spun around by Romain Grosjean on the first lap and was never able to get back in the fray near the front and Lewis was good until a crappy McLaren pit stop. Once you drop off for whatever reason, its very difficult to make up much time over the ones ahead.
I notice you didn't mention another wet expert who did not show too well - the World Champion Sebastien Vettel.
Of course that's not taking anything away from the tremendous drive by Alonso. It was also good to see other drivers at or near the front (some examples are Perez, Raikonnen and even Senna who finished 6th overall).
It is definitely working out to be a great season.

It seems that following Fernando closely and then attempting a pass is not a wise thing. Think of Maldonado in Australia and then Perez in Malaysia !

Steve, that tells me that Mr. Alonso is a wily fox who's very difficult to crack!
As Luke reminded me recently, can you remember when he held the then almost-unbeatable Schumi at bay very early in his F1 career to go on to win the race? The man is clearly not affected or intimidated by a threat from behind.
