Way boi Gordon,

You’re sure doing a great amount of work (today alone) adjusting FRC racing regs and groupings ..!

All in the name of ~ trying to keep everyone happy. Sure you know how that goes though but I must say ~ the (possible) new regs are looking very simplified plus this new set (above) of A, B, C & D racing groups.

It seems as though you’re going forward with all these adjustments/changes plus the AOK using new regs starting with the next FRC event - I believe with the Group C (BTCC, SC & MP) classes.

Overall, you and all other participants will just have to see how it goes at next race meet.

So for all your wonderful efforts & as life would have it ~ hopefully all things should/may go smoothly.

2000+ posts :)

2033 posts, to be exact. 33 is not a bad number:

Oh wow! Didn't realise I had just done a post ending with 33. Makes my pic above all the more relevant :).

Top speed as always is dependent on car performance and length of straight. Wallerfield's main straight is a little less than half a mile (0.8 km). I can't remember the gearing on the car, but the tachometer was red-lined at just under 8,000 RPM and the car was very light. So if I was getting near the red line in 5th gear, I can only guess that it was maybe in the 120 MPH range, but I may be well off.

And yes, that is O'Brie.

I kind of guessed 120 mph Gordon and that has to be a Racing Driver explanation 8-)

Plus, only because of his height - I guessed it was O’brie :D

That was a long time ago Luke! 28 waste and the beard !!! Good days though
The class groupings look great as it gives more time to get the stable serviced. These days that is a serious issue for the next couple of months I am afraid :(

Hi all,
with our previous three class groups , barring delayed or cancelled events, we got to race each class of car every six weeks. Not so long ago it used to be twice at an event that we got to race each class. It was then felt that longer races were the way to go and so we got to race each class only once per event. Now with this proposed new class grouping of four groups, we will race each class of car possibly once every EIGHT weeks ! I really think that too much effort is invested in preparing our cars for this.
I know the proposal mentions a second race IF TIME PERMITS but, based on previous experience, time will never permit unless we make it do so .I am all for the new grouping but only if the schedule could be amended to allow more than one race per class each night. This may mean going back to shorter races. I don't think this would be a problem with the new scrutineering system in place . I also note that the Rally Class proposed schedule mentions two to three stages. I really wouldn't like to see this reduced from the current three .

Okay how about these two options. They both address Steve's points and the second one is in the interest of Ramesh's request on behalf of Luke B.

So, A or B? I have no problem with either and it would be nice to ensure that we have a shot at beating possibly the quickest slot racer in T&T
