Hi Guys,
Having a database tracking our results allows for some interesting looks at statistics. Here are a few which you may find interesting and informative. These are based on all the data we have since April 8th, 2009.
This first two show the number of races all whoever raced at FRC have competed in:
This one shows the number of races we have run for each class with a total of all races run:
What stats would you like to see? Let me know below and I'll try to produce them.

Statistics, statistics...
Re: Statistics, statistics...
I had some serious errors in the programming logic for the stats above and have since corrected them. They should be correct now.
Sorry 'bout that.

Re: Statistics, statistics...
Thanks for the corrections Gordon. I didn't realize though that a rally event was already in the books.
There are so many stats. that I think could be interesting, such as :
-Drivers by no. of wins (total)
-Drivers by number of wins(each class)
-Drivers' race wins as a % of races driven
etc, etc.

Re: Statistics, statistics...
The rally results are based on some test data I have in the system comprising three fictitious rally stages. They were used to test the programming for that type of event (its all ready, now we need some rally cars!). Once the first rally event is over, I'll remove the test data.steveaca wrote:Thanks for the corrections Gordon. I didn't realize though that a rally event was already in the books.
Here's an example for you:steveaca wrote:-Drivers by no. of wins (total)
Here are the specs for American Muscle (this is actually the "Winners by Class:):steveaca wrote:-Drivers by number of wins(each class)
I've been thinking of this one. I'll have to work on it.steveaca wrote:-Drivers' race wins as a % of races driven

Re: Statistics, statistics...
Here are the current results for race wins as a percentage of races driven (drivers with no wins have been excluded; drivers' names beginning with * are for endurance event driver pairings):
We can also get each drivers results by class. Here's Shane's (when are we seeing you at FRC again Shane?):
Let me know if you'd like to see yours...

Great stuff Gordon. This is really interesting.
