Incidentally, the information above is sorted by class name (ascending), slot car width (descending) and actual car width (descending).

Oh yeah, nearly forgot... we can ignore our Rally, F1 (currently limited to 63 mm) and Scratch Built classes. Of course no car can exceed the overall maximum width limit of 66 mm.

Hi Gordon,
I took some measurements and they are as follows:
Car Brand Class Width(mm.)

MGB Scalextric HS 47
Cortina Mk.1 Rev/Mon HS 47
Escort Mk.2 Scalextric HS 55
Escort Mk.2 SCX HS 53
Capri Mk.2(Zakspeed) Fly HS 60
Capri Mk.1 Carrera HS 56
Falcon Scalextric HS 53
Javelin Scalextric APC 61
914/6 SRC VS 60
M3(E30) Fly MP 61
320i(E36) Scalextric MP 53
Megane Ninco MP 60.

I have a few more to be measured. I'll give you the info. when I do.
I note that you have a width for the SRC Capri but remember that these cars have a number of body styles with different fender treatments and different widths.

Thanks Steve. Once I get feedback on maximum widths from Ram and any others, I'll post an updated list and we can finalise the class maximums.
