RACE REPORT #242 - October 26th 2017 (MP, RGT, RLMP)
A break in the rainy weather finally allowed us to run our fastest classes after having to postpone last week's racing. The cars in Modified Production (MP), Restricted GT (RGT) and Restricted LMP (RLMP) are getting faster with each event and the competition on track is now very close in the races. The difference between the fastest and slowest qualifying times in MP, RGT and RLMP were 0.836 sec, 0.578 sec and 0.487 sec respectively and this is for five qualifiers per class! Needless to say, the action on track was intense and there were a few inevitable, unintentional "drive throughs" where a car knocked the car in front off the track. These cars are now almost as quick as the fastest cars of our now-discontinued, fully-modified classes that broke all FRC track records which were replaced by these "restricted" versions earlier in 2017. So yes, it was indeed a night of speed!

Great night of racing as usual at FRC. Nice to see that Arden is now becoming a regular at FRC once more. Also nice to see Alex, Keith and Liam drop by, even if not for the entire event. Next time they need to actually race ! Congrats to Gordon on his amazing pole position in Mod. Prod. and to Ramesh on winning everything else (other than Index Of Performance).
Looking forward to the next event.
