I am glad I finally got your undivided attention (here) Gordon .. :!:

If you don't mind - it's not about me and what I like but (like you) just trying to keep the slotcar racing thrills alive 8-)

Wonder what Steve would have to say now ... because it's the way he could have interpreted this type of event  :D

Alternative final 2017 event suggestion:

IROC
Anything you guys would like to propose.

Historic Special Event
We go back to the ''60s and '70s to run some "semi-endurance" races for our Historic Saloon, American Pony Car and Vintage Sports '60-'75 classes. Each race will be 15 minutes duration with a single driver for each car. Cars may be repaired during the races if necessary, subject to confirmation that they comply with the class regs before rejoining races. If there are more than 6 drivers present, 5 minute heats will determine finalists.

Good morning Gordon and others,

After all is said and done - you Gordon will be the one and only to make the final call (decision) and before you do ...

Sure you may have noticed and if not - that you're on the last FRC grouping of racing classes for 2017 plus here's the scheduled (regular 2 weeks apart) dates below ...
  • Race Day No. 243 on Nov 09 - HS, APC & VS6075
    Race Day No. 244 on Nov 23 - RC, SC & F1
Race Day No. 245 on Dec 07 - MP, RGT & RLMP
That said and seeing race day 245 is falling exactly where you described - possibly in early-mid December.

An idea mix and matching the numbers, days & groupings to support your racing suggestion - some "semi-endurance" races for our HS, APC and VS '60-'75 classes.
  • Race Day No. 243 on Nov 09 - RC, SC & F1
Race Day No. 244 on Nov 23 - MP, RGT & RLMP
    Race Day No. 245 on Dec 07 - HS, APC & VS6075
Providing it's a Thursday night and not on a Saturday during the day event.

From your deep-rooted FRC member :)

Somewhat thoughtless of me to presume racing events are 2 weeks apart ... espically when I'm hardly attending.

Please discard suggestion (pervious post) because next Race Day (No. 243 event) is Nov 02 and classes are HS, APC & VS6075 cars.

Luke, with the postponement of this week's racing, your suggestion is valid once more.

Food for thought.
