Hello Gordon,

Clearly you're a man of great wisdom ... and for the length of time we know each other - all of FRC's existence - I have always valued the positive ideas and advice you shared with me - to some of life personal challenges.

Yes, Life is what we make it ~ always has been and always will be ..! In other words - we are the architects of our own happiness ...

On the other hand ~ even if a "wall" was built for and when the water rises - it can still just rise enough going over. Which I'm of the same opinion - we have no control over ... So in a sense with the race of time, my reaction/thoughts isn't really looking backwards (reversing) but rather looking forward while viewing rearview mirrors and still not knowing what's in store for the future ...

However - while we are all trying to seek out happiness with the Gift of Life ~ I too hope my own is a positive one ;-)

Btw - how you displayed POSTPONED TO 10TH AUGUST is what made me remember the next day (5 years ago) which also happens to be my brother's birthday.

Thanks again for your encouragement,

Luke

Hi, every day we all have some type of changes that are un expected, and thats just the excitement of being alive. When something new comes at us , its just there to make us find a way to overcome, we dont want to have to deal with all these problems some times , why can things just remain as smooth sailing for a bit longer, but its life.Let me share a bit about this week I had to stop my regular shop work and put 40 hrs of frame work on a job that is sponsored. The timing threw us off but it was an emergency. On Thursday i had a car being repaired and a windscreen was accidentally broken , again a cost to me. This wk also i had to paint a vehicle twice at my cost because the color was not right, It hurts in more ways than one, i just smile an took it in stride , i say to my self , what a life i have with so many variations its good to be alive. Thats why i can look forward to racing on a Thursday night. Slot car racing keeps me away from the doctor, it helps me relax and think .If its Gordon and me alone i am coming up the road. Thanks.

Well said Ram. I can relate to the unplanned business expenses. In the past we've replaced damaged iPads and at least one iPhone that we had issues with while repairing with brand new versions, all at our expense. As you say, that's life. And I agree that our slot car racing is one of the great stress relievers, along with family togetherness.
