RACE REPORT #234 - June 22nd 2017 (HS, APC, VS6075)
We had a very small turnout of just five drivers for our Historic Saloon (HS), American Pony Car (APC) and Vintage Sports '60-'75 (VS6075) races last night. Despite all intentions to move through the programme as fast as possible, we still ended up running later than planned (although earlier than usual) and two of the five drivers had to leave before running the final class. This all aside, the cars were pretty close on track. As seen at last weekend's 24 Hours of Le Mans, the GTE Pro regulation changes for the World Endurance Championship have made it so that all car manufacturers are competitive. Likewise our efforts to have closer racing by tweaking the FRC regulations are paying off.

Fun night of racing as usual at FRC although I'm sorry I was not able to stay for the final class raced. I always enjoy these classes, even when (as with my HS Escort on this occasion) my cars are a bit off the pace. Congrats to Ramesh on winning everything that was available to win. Hopefully next time round, the Ford boys could bridge that 0.5 point gap to Chevy in the APC Manufacturer stakes !
Looking forward to the next event.
