Scalextric long time host and commentator ...

Post by Luke »

Hello all,

Scalextric long time host and commentator ...

Mr. Peter De Montbrun passed away (died) last night.

Got a phone call from Brian Telfer (early) this morning about this regrettable news.

Didn't get much details other than and sharing on the FRC forum.

May God rest his soul.

Luke

So sorry to hear about his passing .I have known Peter and his family since 1971, we have travelled to London and throughout the Caribbean on many Scalextric tours with my dad, mom, siblings and my family. i remember many family parties at our home in Princes Town he will attend and lime dance and hung out , my dad and him were good friends. I remember in 2009 at my dad`s funeral he shook my hand with tears in his eyes he said he will miss his good friend. Thats why guys , i have seen good friendships through SCALEXTRIC and appreciate the times we spend in fellowship and ole talk. Its more than Racing.I have so much memories with him and SCALEXTRIC .

Very nice words about Peter and about the friends we make through slot car racing Ram. A fitting tribute to him and testament to how this hobby brings us together.

Hello Ramesh,

Maybe more funeral arrangements (time and church) details to fellow here ... from you.

If not I will give you a call to find out.

Also, understanding more so now the very strong friendship you shared with Mr. Peter De Montbrun.

Peter did a GR8 job making the Scalextric racing sport a very exciting one for many years. I even remember my first slotcar racing event at the Flour Mill building on Wrightson Road back in the early 70s :P

Luke

Btw - just wondered if Mr L. Joseph and J. Joseph are related?
