Re: Lap times
Nice Steve. You're way ahead of me. I have no idea which cars I'll qualify and I've worked on not a single one. Shouldn't matter though. This is a pretty unique event that will even things out for everyone across the board. The key will be to be consistent and not deslot too much, preferably not at all. It's also important to have reliable cars, as these races are going to be longer than normal.
Re: Lap times
Exactly. Consistency involves not only avoiding de-slotting one's own car but also keeping away from trouble caused by others on the track.
Re: Lap times
Hi guys Iwas able to get my shapeways chassis in this wk so i am getting some of them sorted, what a decision it has been ,which car, which motor, which rim, which mag, which bracket ,lots of fun.I got up at 5 am with the whole car setup planned out in my head and just got them going , it leaves chipping and interior for last tonight. I have seven new cars never raced at frc. it should be intresting.
Re: Lap times
That's great Ram. Look forward to seeing them, especially the Shapeways-modified one(s).
Re: Lap times
Really looking forward to seeing the various car types being brought tomorrow.
Re: Lap times
Just had the time to go through my working cars and selected 23 of them to attempt to qualify tomorrow. Here they are laid out roughly in fastest to slowest sequence, starting from the back row and going left to right:
Have them packed like sardines overnight for tomorrow:

Re: Lap times
Very impressive Gordon. Interesting to see that you expect the NSU to be doing faster lap times than some Mustangs, the blue hardtop Cobra and the Mk IV. Nice to see the BMC Mini and the Triumph in the fray !
