Next event's classes: Group C - Nissan GT-R Super Series IROC - 6 races @ 20 laps, Rally Car - 3 five-lap stages per car, 1 car at a time (90 laps for 6 cars).

As usual, don't forget to see the updated fastest times for the FRC classes to know what the benchmarks are for your cars, the updated class average qualifying times and the updated fastest times for 2016.

Always glad to be part of FRC race nights, even though some nights could be better than others. I mention this because it's known I am not such a Non-IROC tuning racer (like I use to be) anymore but more of a specialist at the IROC (race ready) racing cars.

This 218 event was a full night of non-IROC cars and I was happily supported in 2 classes with VS and SC cars. It also happened in the HS class for Alex and (far reaching) Dion all the way from Moruga town - and for those who didn't know ~ home of the scorpion pepper.

That said - here's a brand new far reaching concept getting more drivers to hopefully turn up on non-IROC racing nights .... It is done to a certain extent at TSCC and FRC but not on such a wide scope like what I am going to suggest with these 10 classes.

It's like the 6 sets of IROC racing cars ... and to permanently have (not personal) non-IROC race tuned cars available for promising drivers ... Of course it's going to cost $$$ in this guava season we're in but sure amongst ourselves having these type cars available - is a grand idea in a somewhat different direction.

Again I mention - I know this will take some doing but it is possible putting our thoughts and resources together.

Great night of racing as usual at FRC. Nice to see Alex back in the fray and Dion making an appearance with some of his own cars. Congrats to Gordon on winning the Historic Saloon class (that Escort is a monster now !) and to Ramesh on winning the Vintage Sport and Slot.it Challenge classes as well as taking the overall victory.
Luke, I'm not sure what you mean in your post. Is it that you think existing FRC drivers should prepare additional cars to have as extras in case other drivers who don't have cars in these classes show up ?

Luke, if your suggestion is as Steve asked, we're already doing that to some extent. But I believe you mean to take it a bit further in that you are suggesting the group purchase and prepare a limited number of cars for the classes mentioned, but for newcomers to drive, just as we have for IROC classes.

If so, I do not believe that this will actually result in new guys purchasing their own cars for these classes. Why do that if there is always a car ready and waiting for them? We already have a bunch of IROC classes to entice new guys. Doing this is encouraging "lazy man syndrome".

Glad to see races are going on!
Sorry for not attending. As you all know I have started my construction and I am not getting any younger. Between my normal work, food business, contruction and sorting out my real cars I am too tired at the end of the day.
I really don't see it getting any better soon. I believe I will be out until November. I will still try to make a meeting or two just to lime with you guys and enjoy the racing.

It's noticeable (to me now) with my first post - for the 6 drivers present at this event .... I some how didn't mention anything noteworthy about you, Ramesh and Steve and maybe it's because you'll are so far advance in race tuning cars. Its even proven at this event with (not one or two but) three very well tuned group of cars by each of you'll and this perception of mine for you 3 - can not be denied. The detailed results clearly supports my statement.

The only couple of persons that I see trying to keep up with your elite group (RB, GG & SA) of race tuning guys in the months gone by - is O'Brie and to a lesser degree Arden because he's not present as much as before ...

So in a sense - this is why/how I came up with this far reaching idea of having permanently fixed race tune (competitive) cars available at FRC events.

I was even going to jump start the idea by donating a car with components for any of the FRC racing categories.

Anyway - recognizing how far reaching the idea is, so lets leave well enough alone.

Hi Luke thanks for your interest in evening out the playing field , but research and development is where that time spent there shows on the track. I have always been willing to show anyone how to build and prepare cars and i know Gordon Steve and Arden have payed a lot of attention which is evident by their performance , i show and share so that the sport can grow i do love the competition as well , which creates the excitement for me, its a thrill i do enjoy. Today i am seeing the gap i had is narrowing down and i am quite excited because i enjoy the challenge of building a better car. So keep up the good work guys .
