Today I received a very special surprise gift from my good friend Gary Huggins in Cayman Islands via FedEx. Its a brand new Dave Brodie Ford Escort "Run Baby Run" Scalextric model, personally autographed by the man himself!
This is a very special car which will increase in value as time passes and you guessed it - it will never race. I'll install a DPR chip and do a few careful laps of FRC, but that's it!
Surprise gift
Re: Surprise gift
Sweet. I totally agree with you about not racing it but would love to see it circulating the track.
Re: Surprise gift
Gordon,
This special news/pic sure put a smile on my face and could just imagine the "buzz" thrill you must be having owning this excellent looking classic model car!
Good friend indeed ~ Gray getting this model car and autographed as well for you.
The gold hand writing by D. Brodie, looks very fitting with the gold striping.
You know, you may have to consider getting some sort of display showcase for such cool 1/32 collectables
One more thing you may consider doing, when making a few FRC laps - is maybe some Paul Gage tyres
All the same - it's such a delightful gift.
