Trinidad Slot Car Club (TSCC) held its Holiday Barbecue event last Saturday in Marabella and it turned out to be an action-packed race meeting as well as a great social gathering for fellow slot car racers.
Three classes were run, Stock Sidewinder, Slot.It Challenge and Historic Saloon and because of the number of participants, each heat and final was run as a 50-lap semi-endurance, putting a lot of pressure on drivers to be doing consistent fast laps without de-slotting. We also saw a special race run for newcomers which featured TTASA Competition Chairman Nizam Mohammed, Barbados Suzuki Swift champion Ryan Peryau's son Sebastien, TTASA's race starter Imran Sulaman and one other, with young Sebastian taking his first victory in his first ever slot car race! Father Ryan also managed to get fastest lap and pole position in the Stock Sidewinder class against more seasoned drivers.
Aside from the races themselves, there was food and drink aplenty and Tony did his wonderful magic with the BBQ chicken which was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Ramesh, Arden and all who participated for making this a great evening. Here are a few pics of the event:

Re: TSCC Holiday Barbecue Event
Thanks so much for coming out all from FRC and making this event competitive and enjoyable for all . We did appreciate your contributions. Your love for slot car racing was clearly seen. Thanks to Luke T for a generous contribution of 4 rally cars more on that later .

Really enjoyed the event. The racing action was hectic but the old talk and food made the event even more special. Thanks to all who contributed. Can't wait to see the new track in its new location !
Re: TSCC Holiday Barbecue Event
Hello all,
I had an overall GR8 time at this TSCC special event ... Also such warm and kind experiences from all persons present.
However - I must comment on:
Sure we have all heard about or even been to a Rooftop Suite, Resturant, Bar, Lounge, Swimming Pool, Gym, Garden, Heliport and I'm only referring to the order/types known ... Plus thinking nobody have to wonder where I am going with this and it's probably (as far as anyone of us can tell) a first of its kind worldwide ...
