Racing this Thursday (28th July)

Post by gordon »

Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (28th July) for our fast Group E classes, American Muscle - 3 races @ 30 laps, GT - 3 races @ 30 laps, LMP - 3 races @ 30 laps. We'll also do an IROC series if we have a few newcomers who are interested.

Remember that we try to start our events no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the usual schedule:
  • Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
  • 8:30 PM - Technical Inspection (excluding IROC classes).
  • Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
  • Post-race Technical Inspection (if required)
  • After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
You can see the 2016 class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Don't forget to bring along some refreshments.

Reality Checks

Will be there for sure. Hopefully the orange Boss Mustang being raced at FRC will be as close to the front of the pack as its full-sized cousin (in photo behind the Javelin) !

I note that both Pioneer and Scalextric will be releasing models of this Javelin soon. Will we see one at FRC ?

I'm sure we will Steve, maybe in AM or maybe in some other class. Here's a 1/1 beauty I came across recently:

Sweet . That car , as very successfully raced by Mark Donohue, is the one apparently being reproduced by both Pioneer and Scalextric.
