Racing this Thursday (14th July)

Post by gordon »

Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (14th July) for our Group D classes, Modified Production - 3 races @ 30 laps, F1 - 5 races @ 30 laps. We'll also do an IROC series if we have a few newcomers who are interested.

Remember that we try to start our events no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the usual schedule:
  • Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
  • 8:30 PM - Technical Inspection (excluding IROC classes).
  • Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
  • Post-race Technical Inspection (if required)
  • After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
You can see the 2016 class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Don't forget to bring along some refreshments.

Will be there for sure. Lovely shot of that BMW lifting the inside front wheel.

All because I am a grand fan of F. Alonso and remembered watching a F1 race (not sure when) on television with such a beautiful & natural landscape ...

Memorized it ~ as the Grand Prix of Austria.
  • 1. Tried to see if a McLaren Honda was racing with this bunch of cars and seeing one (not sure if it's number 14 or 22) running up on the inside line :D

    2. Also guessing this track above is the same Austrian circuit I observed (the time) on television and yet, I may still stand corrected :?:
These were two points - I thought about (straight away) with this scenic, cool looking and action packed F1 racing track/pic ...

A view from Fernando Alonso's (on board) camera at this bright looking Austrian F1 Grand Prix circuit in 2014 ...
Mind you, the vid doesn't show the true blue brightness (it's a bit hazy) with the surroundings ~ other than the flawlessly racing line being used in Q2 on an overall neat and very fast (300+ km) looking racing circuit ..!
