Racing this Saturday 18th June

Post by gordon »

Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 3:00 PM this Saturday (18th June) for our Slot.It Challenge USD special event. Here are the details:

Slot.It Challenge USD Special Event
  1. Cars must comply with current Slot.It Challenge rules with the addition that the current USD rule will be in effect.
  2. Format will be like our IROC classes in that there can be any number of entries. Fastest six qualifiers will start the first race. If there are more than six entries, for each subsequent race the next-placed qualifier will step in at position 1 and other drivers will move down one position, with the driver in position 6 stepping out. This will be repeated until each entry has driven six races, one in each driving position. The total number of races will be the same as the total number of drivers.
  3. Each race will be 25 laps in length (about 2.5 min @ 6 sec per lap). Because car IDs will have to be set after each race, drivers will get a short rest between races.
You can see the 2016 class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Luke mentioned on the forum that he would bring "Season Wedges" to bake but the boss has said that she doesn't want any baking done in her kitchen, so FRC will provide something to go along with whatever meat you guys may want to bring. You can keep everyone posted on the forum at this link:

So come along and have some fun racing very similar, self-owned Group C Slot.It cars in the same format that we run our IROC classes. Bring along some drinks and whatever you'd like to put on the BBQ. It'll be a blast!

Reality Check

See you on the circuit...

Photograph looks so neat Gordon - it could pass as a Slot.It 132 car :D

Any suggestions/plans to video tape this event or even parts of it ..?
