Motors?

Post by arden100 »

Can we use another motor of like on cars?
I am not referring to Scalextric motors. For instance can I replace a NSR 20k motor with a standard scaleauto 20k( not ball bearing) if I don't have one?

What class Arden? If its a class that requires the original motor under the current rules, the answer is no. I have proposed changing this for 2016 to allow any motor up to 21.5K in VS. We can even do something similar for HS, but maybe up to 20K.

Yes it is vintage. I have sprayed and cleaned the motor so many times that the paper on the motor is coming off. I don't want anyone to think I have a different motor since you will not be able to tell, hence the reason for the motor question.

I know you wouldn't try to fool us, so I'm OK with that for this event.
