Next week's cars ready

Post by gordon »

I'm probably not going to be home after work next weekend so I took the opportunity to prepare my cars for next week's HS, VS and G5SC racing. Here's a look at the busy workbench earlier today:

Cars finally finished about an hour ago:

Before closing up, I took the opportunity to try to revive the 25K Scaleauto Lambo motor which I had replaced with a 25K Slot.It motor for last week's races. After running it in a distiller water and alcohol mix for about 60 sec, then cleaning it out and applying a bit of 226, it tested at 28,685 RPM! I guess it's good to go.

All 5 (2 HS, 1 VS and 2 G5SC ) cars neat and race ready looking GG !!!

So much so, even the (132 scale) chevron arrows are indicating the direction - how these cars are well built :-)

The Scale Auto 25K rpm motor/shaft and pinion - looks nicely balanced and with that extra 3+K rpm reading, you made me remember ... that's the one that open the possibilities for more RPM @ FRC SSD racing.

On the other hand though - seeing the No.3 997 chassis and also remembering the No.2 F430 car - with the chips blown ...

You must remember to make visible the FRC Contribution Container indicating/reminding us racing guys ... wanting to make (whatever amount) cash donations for these replacement racing components.

After all - its already known how much you make this pastime possible to one's liking.

Thanks for the offers fellas. I already have the lane change section for the back straight (I actually received it last Thursday). I'll install it the next time I lower the track. I'll try to remember to put out the donations container at every event in the future.

Aside from the lane changer, the immediate needs are for the IROC cars that have problems. I need to check them all and make a list.

I already have new controllers for when needed (five of them).

Always noticed how very special of you upgrading things GG but I have to remind you "contribution" is the name written on the container which sounds more suitable over donations ... Yes, it may not matter because these 2 words mean the same but think the second-mentioned word is mostly used on tins ... and FRC's contribution container isn't a tin. All said because I was the one who made A-Okay with you and user-friendly with others for this arrangement :-)

I am also use to helping with putting out this container but somehow overtime - its like you didn't care to have it outside again because I noticed how you had it put away behind lots of other sizeable things. Also said because I will be sticking to one's guns putting out this contribution container again :D

Look forward to your reminding me to put out the contribution container Luke. The only reason it has ended up behind other sizable things is because of the limited space for all the stuff in that slot car cupboard/workbench. As I pull things out to use them, they end up being put back in front of things not so often used when prepping cars or working on the track.
