Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice, testing and racing from 7:30 PM this Thursday (11th June) for our Group A classes, Scalextric GT Challenge IROC - 6 races @ 20 laps, Restricted GT - 3 races @ 30 laps. Remember that our events start no later than 8:30PM sharp. Here's the usual schedule:
  • Free practice and testing up to 8:30 PM
  • 8:30 PM SHARP - Technical Inspection (excluding IROC classes).
  • Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
  • Post-race Technical Inspection (if required)
  • After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
You can see the 2015 class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Here are the specific Restricted GT class regulations (blue text indicates any changes for 2015). This will be used by the Tech Inspectors for checking each car:
    • Restricted GT (RGT)
      • Body: Must be modeled after a two-door car which competes in GT racing and must comply with General item 2. Windows may be tinted so as not to reveal the cockpit - see Eligable Cars below.
      • Chassis: Standard for the particular model.
      • Interior: Free but must comply with General item 3.
      • Digital Chip: Free.
      • Motor: 23,500 RPM or lower, based on manufacturer's specifications.
      • Gearing: Free.
      • Motor Pod (where applicable): Standard for the particular model.
      • Magnets: Must be positioned in one of the standard magnet locations for the particular model. Car must not be able to magnetically adhere to standard Scalextric track piece in an upside down position. Stacking allowed.
      • Wheels: Free.
      • Axles: Free.
      • Tyres: Free.
      • Guide Flag: Free.
      • Eligible cars:

Hi Gordon its just amazing the amount of rubber thats laid down by those cars and look at the amount of marbles , I see those viper s are being encouraged and i do appreciate the excitement of new cars coming out, my HSV hondas and nissan 390 will be new to this class also , see you on thur ,

Will be there for sure.
Maybe we could think about also racing next Thursday as Friday is a holiday.
