We're into the sixth month of the year and six more to go ... sure you'll remember this (end of year) special event ... FRC's Race Report 182 - 11/12/2014
Looking back, persons didn't need to bring any cars because they were racing in the new Vintage Sports IROC (VSIROC) class.
It was a grand racing event with 9 superb looking slot cars from that era, which was all drawn up by you and it really turned out to be a fantastic special event.
ATM, you're already seeing about a new racing idea for the balance of 2015 and other racing suggestions for 2016.
- • FRC's 2015 LMP-E/GT-E Endurance Event
• FRC's 2016 Proposed Class Changes
That said, I would like to share this racing idea I thought about with you and others ...
Just like how you started the beginning of this year with a special event (3 IROC classes) called Mixed GT ...
Looking at this list of our 6 IROC classes of 36 cars - PC, LS, FTC, MC, NSS & SGTC - and for the lap times they carry.
- 1. NSS cars ...... @ 26K rpm .......... 6.2 sec. lap time ............ Rubber to Silicone
2. LS cars ........ @ 25K rpm .......... 6.2 sec. lap time .......................... Silicone
3. FTC cars ...... @ 20K rpm .......... 6.4 sec. lap time ............ Rubber to Silicone
4. SGTC cars .... @ 18K rpm .......... 6.6 sec. lap time ............ Rubber ..............
5. PC cars ........ @ 21.5K rpm ....... 6.8 sec. lap time ............ Rubber to Silicone
6. MC cars ....... @ 18K rpm .......... 7.4 sec. lap time ............ Rubber to Silicone
How about we have a end of year Special Event with all 6 IROC classes called (maybe) MIXED IROC CARS ...
Example: Instead of racing 2 cars from the 3 sets in MGT - it will be 1 car form the 6 sets in MIC
Hope I made myself clear and ... what you and others think
I believe it will be worthwhile actually trying once
