Goodspeed Parc Ferme

Post by gordon »

Guys,

Here's a pic of Goodspeed's Parc Ferme on a typical race night:

Note the Magnet Marshal.

Now if only we had space like this at FRC.

I count 49 cars in Parc Ferme. Imagine FRC having that many cars at an event!

Gordon,

I am looking at the track, it looks quite amazing. I think I am seeing street lights.

Arden yes you are. They run night races sometimes and the only lights are the street lights and the lights on the cars (mandatory).

Hey GG,

It's a long time now ... the system malfunction ..?

Circumstances on the FRC forum - is like everybody pack-up and gone - no activity at all by anyone.

Everybody crash at the Dunlop Bridge or what :(

What's the status with you (regular forum) guys out there?

So here's my feedback and at such a large scale all looks well organized with Goodspeed ...

... but some real (far reaching) hand and eye execution will be need ... at such a huge circuit layout.

BTW - any idea what's the TRL :?:

It's 118ft lap length Luke. The table is 32ft x 10ft. There's more information here:

GG,

Have to wonder with those strict magnet "down force" limits & stock motors, lap times @ Goodspeed circuit will be seemingly very long compared to ...

FRC's 74' TRL circuit of 7 to 8 seconds average lap times with stock motors.

Maybe Goodspeed's 118' TRL circuit (44' extra) is 10 to 11 seconds average lap times with stock motors.

Guess, if we need to know for sure we can contact John @ GSC :D
