Will be there for sure.
Great photo of that racing Imp. They were interesting little rear-engine cars that had lots of success in racing and rallying.

GG & all others,

I will be @ FRC later today but must let all know now that this will be my racing game for this evening ... with cars in the 3 competing classes.
  • • HS ........... 0.799 gap
    • VS ........... No ready Car
    • G5SC ....... No ready Car
So sorry I wont be taking part in VS & G5SC ...

This info should help not having to answer one question many times and that I'm still happy enjoying racing moments & you guys company nonetheless.

Luke, you haven't done any work on those cars? Last time we raced these classes was almost three months ago. You've got to rekindle your passion for slot racing man. Its not unlike real racing or any other sport for that matter - you've got to work at it and keep trying if you want to be competitive. You used to do this and your cars were always quick. Let me know how I can help encourage you and get you back to where you used to be.

GG,

I had to respond here because of these persuading words .... Let me know how I can help encourage you and get you back to where you used to be.

Well, I'm not sure exactly what is needed (to get back where I used to be) but what I do know you and all the other regular guys (Ramesh, Luke B., Arden, Steve & David "Boo" to name a few) do spur me on with certain racing classes. Mind you, not saying I don't want to race in certain race car groupings because check what I had set out on doing with time gone ... for these 3 technical classes.

Actually on checking - its (8 events) 4 months I haven't done any work on these 3 cars of mines ... (HS,VS,G5SC) Race Report #181 - Thurs 4th Dec. 2014.

Yes, after all this time I'm sorry I did no work on any of these cars ... which I normally race.

  • • HS - Scalextric .................. Ford (Mexico Yellow) Escort RS 1600
    • VS - Revell Monogram ....... Ferrari 250 GTO/LM No.30
    • G5 - Fly ........................... Ferrari 512S Coda Lunga No.6
Even though I recently own a new VS car and have plans in the wings for HS & G5S cars.

  • • HS - Scalextric .................. Ford Escort MK1 No.85
    • VS - MMRC ...................... Cheetah (Blue) No.46
    • G5 - Slot It ...................... Matra-Simca 670B No.8
Know you will agree with this ... It's all well and good being competitive but its another thing having that desire.

So you're right about my slotcar passion ~ how I need to put new heart back into setting-up 132 slotcars ...

... but at least the project above is somewhat like that :)
