It seems RGT with the US-D rule is getting faster ...

Any other guys with times to consider :?:

Persons who estimated average lap times already:
  • • Ramesh ....................... 5.2 - 5.5 seconds
    • Gordon ........................ 5.8 - 5.9 seconds
    • Luke ............................ 6.5 - 6.8 seconds
So here's something else for other guys to think about - will lap times be Higher or Lower/Faster or Slower :D

There's certainly a lot of speculation about the times these low-downforce Restricted GT cars will be running. Interesting to note that Ramesh's estimate of 5.2 to 5.5 seconds is faster than my current RGT car ever recorded in high-downforce configuration !

Hey Steve,

Don't forget that we already know Ram (aka The Professor) have a degree in BSc, MSc & PhD for tuning slotcars and driving them to say the least.

Mind you - I'm not implying you (and some other persons) don't ...

Although, I could agree with your sentiments regarding fast RGT lap times but how about giving your impression of an experiential lap time ...

Judging from your response above ~ how high (meaning slower) you feel, will the new inaugural RGT/US-D class lap times be .. :?:

Being part of the solution ... :)

Hi Luke,
I would say in the range of high 5s to low 6s (say 5.8-6.5) for non-Bhola cars.

Okay Steve but its one or the other (high or low) so your name/estimated lap time could be listed ... Hope you realize what I mean ..?

I find or it seems Ramesh B. slotcar tuning is setting (some of) us back on our heels or in other words ~ Astonishing :D

BTW Steve ~ those times you suggested (5.8 & 6.5) are Gordon's and yours truly ...

So you need be a little more unique with your lap times - its sort of a competition in competition. :)

Okay Steve but you leave me/us hanging man ... here's why.

I was going and present a surprise (Dodge Viper slot car) prize who comes to the nearest estimated lap time in qualifying with the new RGT class.

Here's a phrase I hear used by my son - yuh browning the sweat!

Anyway ~ see you at the track later.

Hi Luke,
you really enticing me with that Viper ! With that in mind, and with Ramesh's 5.2 sec. in mind, I'll now venture a time of 5.3 sec. (!!!) but if you are going to actually go with this generous gesture, I feel all lap time estimates should be received before arrival at FRC tonight.
