Race report #187 - Thurs 5th March 2015 (AM, GT, LMP)
Re: Race report #187 - Thurs 5th March 2015 (AM, GT, LMP)
Had a great time despite not being able to stay for the LMP races. The good driver turnout added to the night's enjoyment. Was particularly nice to see Peter and for him to actually get to race one of his cars (AM Mustang). Was also good to see Boo again and up-and -coming digital racer Dion whose Boss Mustang was fast but needs to get the handling sorted out . The usual suspects (Gordon,Luke, Ramesh, Luke B., Arden, Marlon and Jon) provided great racing competition.
Congrats to Luke B. on winning all three classes raced, and of course, winning Champion Driver of the Night.
Looking forward to the next event.

GG,
Thank you (again) for all your efforts making this hobby so enjoyable.
Pictures of the grid/event qualifying cars - really paints a 1000 words and just like how (its also known) these cars/classes "pack a hefty punch" with 1000s of rpm
Hard luck there's none with the LMP cars
Suppose, being a new course of action posting pics like these with race reports - its understandable trying to remember all other event racing procedures ~ that one (even all) can have a slip of the mind ...
Nevertheless - I remember this method (posting pics of qualifying cars) was first done (by you) way back in 2009/Race Report #10 - believe it or not.

Not sure it was ever done anytime after that but I do remember this because it was the first and only time my son (Ethan) was present at FRC - even though I have invited him many times after. So much so, I had to ask him once - how come son and he said, its not my kind of thing dad, which I found was a fair enough answer :/
Mind you, I did have the last say (I think) and told him - its good for a man to have a hobby ... He smiled and said okay Dad.
Warning ...
Do you remember that (Race Report #10) hour you went to sleep the next day GG
See too, how long I am enjoying 132 racing at FRC

Lightning Speeds for So Boy
Every once in awhile, after certain races I heard persons asking what's the time difference between 1st. & 2nd. finishing positions ..
Yes - there were some very close finishing times but ...
Strangely enough though, from another POV - looking at the GT Grid first race pic ...
By chance, did anybody asked how many laps Luke B. (btw todays Birthday Boy ) finished ahead of 2nd. place position. or even 3rd & 4th. for that matter ..?
Because believe it or not - after one of the races David (boo) told me he got lapped from Luke B. when he (boo being at the back of the grid) was now completing his first lap in one of the races
Watching the GT pic and studying it through - that will surely paint a (next) 1000s words ent
