Hello Gordon,
A personal observation ... for all the persons that have been and still taking part at your home made/built racing slotcar club ~ FRC's six (6) racing groups in 2015 looks undoubtedly interesting the way it is ...
• Mixed GT IROC / Scalextric GT Challenge IROC
• Restricted GT - Minimum Ground Clearance: 1mm - Car must not be able to magnetically adhere to a standard track piece upside down.
• Historic Saloon - Minimum Ground Clearance: 1mm
• Vintage Sports / Vintage Sports IROC - Minimum Ground Clearance: 1mm
• Group 5 Sports Cars - Minimum Ground Clearance: 1mm
• Mini Challenge IROC
• Rally Car
• Modified Production - Car must not be able to magnetically adhere to a standard track piece upside down.
• F1
• Nissan GT-R Super Series IROC
• Slot.It Challenge
• American Muscle
• GT
• LMP
... and with some of the new class regulation (changes) in numerical order of 4 - 4 - 2 has it looking (even more) full of activity and racing entertainment.
The color coding above should explain the 4 - 4 - 2 numerical order I wrote about

FRC's Onward Movement ...
Re: FRC's Onward Movement ...
I don't understand the 4-4-2 reference Luke.
Re: FRC's Onward Movement ...
Happy to explain GG ...
The new suggestions (only with 4 classes) in 2015 - the minimum ground clearance (only with 4 classes) and the car can't adhere to a standard track piece (only with 2 classes).
Hope I made it understandable here ... and cheering others on.

Re: FRC's Onward Movement ...
GG,
I am thinking over now, what you may have meant with ~ what is this 4-4-2 sequence all about ..?
Basically and in a "nutshell" (as well as across the board) its for how this racing area of classes are narrowed down for tuning (slowing down) cars over the other class/groupings.
Hope we're on the same page now?
Luke

Thanks for explaining Luke. It's clear now
