Hey Gordon,

Firstly, l would like to let you know - Welcome back buddy ...

Sure you had a great time in the USA & with your favorite F1 driver Lewis, winning and all ... You must have been on a all-time high too ent ... :)

Here in Trinidad - I (everybody) didn't get a chance to look/see the Sunday race on cable while at the same time, planning to lookout for you in the crowds ... All this happen because (as you may know) the race wasn't televised. I was somewhat disappointed big time but know, its good when you can leave room for this sort of thing called - disappointment.

Although, still got to see bits and pieces of the race with the Monday night (9 pm) re-run only because I watched it while I was in my bed and remembering I turned off the TV - right when Lewis overtook Nico ... I knew the final results (website) from before so went fast to sleep.

I thought to myself the next morning (not that I am any great race driver) and because of looking at F1 racing for so long now, believe (hindsight) Nico shouldn't have left so much racing room for Lewis on the inside and see how Nico himself had to run wide then.

Sure you would agree GG, if that was Fernando in the front with that silver car - Lewis wasn't going to go anywhere fast :D

All the same, its just wishful thinking on my part for my favorite F1 driver and Lewis did drive a great race to get 5 F1 wins in a row.

Hi Ramesh,

Yes, we could come up with lots of race points/logistics for Lewis calculated overtaking move on Nico but watching the youtube link with the very first few seconds, is what I told you about ... If it was Fernando in the Mercedes (believe it could have been in is Ferrari as well) sure Lewis wasn't going to get that amount of room on the left hand side for the corner.

Also, you're going to enjoy the Bad Boys movie clip and wondering if the grand stand on the right hand side of that corner - was where GG told us he was sitting .. :?:

Nice video Luke. Here's where we were sitting relative to that action (red circle). You can see me waving and hear me shouting :):

And here's what it looked like from there (with Kimi going by):

A-Okay GG - that's a grand grandstand crowd of people for you to be shouting and waving over ... and for small you to be seen :D

After looking at the F1 (website) US track map ...

Its real cool where you were seated and seeing all of turns 12 to 16 ... now if I am correct with this it means the pic with Kimi's car is smack dab on turn 15 for you ... and with the youtube link (post above your's) exactly 13 seconds into the vid you will see the correct grandstand also 8-)

BTW - Its interesting to see Kimi's car going by and on the same corner he had an accident on ... during the race.

All the same, glad you had a grand time @ the US14F1GP :)
