RACE REPORT #178 - October 23rd 2014 (MP, F1, SC)

We decided to hold our 178th event during the day on Thursday as it was a public holiday to celebrate Divali. In order to catch up a bit with our classes, we raced Modified Production (MP), F1 and Slot.It Challenge (SC). It was interesting to be racing during daylight, the continuous rain keeping things cool and our tarpaulin awning keeping things dry.

Qualifying was dominated by Bhola cars with Ramesh taking pole in F1 and SC and Luke B in MP. Ramesh also won four of the five MP races, all the F1 races and one SC race, making it a very successful day for him. The other two SC race wins were taken by Luke B, making it a clean sweep for the south boys.

Next event's classes: I'll be at the U.S. Grand Prix this week so there'll be no racing. The following week I hope to run our Group F classes, American Muscle - 3 races @ 35 laps, GT - 3 races @ 35 laps, LMP - 3 races @ 35 laps (315 laps total). Will confirm on my return.

As usual, don't forget to see the updated fastest times for the FRC classes to know what the benchmarks are for your cars, the updated class average qualifying times and the updated 2014 Class Points Standings.

See you on the circuit...

No No No GG you made a mistake counting - Thursday to Monday ...

If you go about making the best of every moment, that's 5 days and I'm quite sure it will feel like you made-up with 2 more days in this way ...

After all, your (two-way) flight is a important part of your trip - sure you understand what I mean :)

BTW - Did you notice FRC's 5 years of 40 F1 races is equal to the 8 events per year (remember) plus how good of you hosting a F1 1/32 race 7 days before you leave to see a real one and what I find even better, is your favorite F1 driver (Hamilton) is in the points lead and the way he's winning races, he may very well go on to win the 2014 World Championship.

Such perfect situations to observe ent :D

Congrats to Ramesh on winning all three classes ! Wish I could have stayed longer but I enjoyed racing for the short time that I was there.
Looking forward to the next event.
Have a great time in Austin Gordon !! Seems like you may not get to see Caterham and Marussia in action as they have apparently been both put into administration (similar to what we know as 'receivership').
