LMP - Group C prototype cars and all subsequent prototype cars, right up to current-day LMP cars like the Audi R18 e-tron quattro, Toyota TS040 Hybrid and Porsche 919 Hybrid that raced at Le Mans this year.

GT - Any GT car (non-prototype, homologated) produced from 1982 onwards.

You can check the eligibility of any car by doing a simple Google search and checking its production date.

Here is a list of 34 eligible names/racers for this new class.

Luke, I sent an email to some of the guys that have not raced for a while inviting them to come tomorrow and race Mixed GT against each other (not against us unless any prefer to). Encouraged them to bring along friends. Maybe if we can get some coming back, they'll get re-bitten by the bug and become regulars again.

GG,

That's what we talking 'bout ~ must say its a well thought out SS :D

~ Simple Solution ~

Is it possible (if you have the time of course) saying who are the ones you contacted ..? This could help with me and others knowing who we could contact.

All in order for who's keeping in touch with whom - narrowing down those 25 suitable slotcar racing names.

Hello GG,

After getting those inaccurate D/F readings (250+ & 600+) in my LMP-E and GT-E respective NINCO cars for the next FRC Special Event :D

I did like, what you normally do here (forum) with that colour code "updating" in blue - with my post on page 3 to the top.

I changed up the LMP-E/GT-E listing to your correct settings of 275/200 respectively for the required Magnet Marshall: Down Force Measurements :)

Is all looking in order (there) to set the pace for all setting-up their cars :?:

BTW ~ with the words "setting-up" I'm still on holidays and (when getting up) it feels so great, just knowing I dont have to go to work. Real nice eh - its receiving Blessings from Above 8-)

Always giving Thanks too.

Hello Gordon,

I am just double checking here for this special event ~ is the LMP-E & GT-E classes (motor ratings) going to be 25K & 23K rpm respectively :?:

Somehow or the other, I'm wondering now if its 25K and 21K rpm respectively  :| :D

I'm now looking at these requirements:
  • GT-E - Up to 21,500 RPM motors and maximum of 200 gm downforce
  • LMP-E - Up to 25,000 RPM motors and maximum of 275 gm downforce
  • 1.0 mm minimum ground clearance under magnets.
My biggest concern is that the LMP cars must be quicker than the GT cars by about 1.0-1.5 sec per lap.

At 6.0 sec per lap, the race will be 600 laps long. Therefore assuming the winning LMP car does 600 laps (@ 6.0 sec per lap), the winning GT car should do around 515 laps (@ 7.0 sec per lap).

Looking at our Fastest Times listing, the average lap time of Lambo Series cars with 25,000 RPM motors and standard magnets is around 6.0 sec. Steve's Group 5 Sports Car with 21,500 RPM motor and 200 gm downforce has done 5.8 sec. We really need to come up with a formula where the fastest LMP-E cars average 1.0 sec quicker lap times than the fastest GT-E cars.

Suggestions for achieving this are welcome.

My suggestion for the LMP-E & GT-E cars ~ Silicone & Rubber Compound tyres respectively 8-)

Seeing lots of views but it seems as if nobody likes the idea for the 3 LMP & 3 GT cars with 2 RPM Ratings, 2 Down Force Measurements plus 2 types of tyre compounds each :?:
