:D I guess you're right there Luke.

So yeah....if a slot is open, count me in. Just put an HRC or Minardi sticker on the side of "my" GTR and I'm good to go :)

Has FRC ever thought about a "Truck" Class.

Would be different but fun !

Cheers

That's a sweet-looking GT-R! Perfect colour match to our newly-painted IROC car.

Fellas,

This is how far we have (already) reached with this new 2014 IROC Class ~ with more $$$ support coming from Steve, Alex & David "boo" to help complete this racing project.

A. Six Scalextric (High Impact) Nissan GT-R Cars... Completed

B. Six Motors... 26K rpm with 11Z S/Winder brass pinions... Completed

C. Six pairs Silicone Rear Tyres... Maxxtrac M21 Tyres... Completed

D. Six Digital Chips... Slot It (New Type) SISP15... 5 more chips needed @ 35US each

Hopefully it can be fully completed in the next 2-3 weeks for the first Nissan GT-R IROC Super Series event...

Here's to FRC's 5th. IROC class in almost 5 years of SSD racing..! :D

Well we're nearly there Luke. The 6th car shipped yesterday and I'll probably have it by the end of this week. I guess it's just the chips remaining to be bought and then to assemble/prep all the cars.

Thats good news Gordon,

Also, must let you know (remember) out of the six cars - one is already set-up for racing, so to help speed up assemble/prep time with the other five cars... I was planning to order (this week) @ King Signs ~ numbers 1-6 to stick on cars to help identify hand throttle locations plus install the 26K rpm motors, M21 silicones tyres and all we will have to do then - is to chip them. :)

Fellas..!

I numbered the cars this evening and installed motors too :D

The numbers 1-6 are green (1 inch size) and sticked on rear windscreen - so drivers, fans and visitors alike can see what "numbered" car is being raced & by whom...

Here is the order in which the (colour/item no.) cars are numbered -

A. C3184 Nissan GT-R... 1. Orange "Stillen No. 975 livery"
B. C3174 Nissan GT-R... 2. Gold
C. C3072 Nissan GT-R... 3. White
D. C2991 Nissan GT-R... 4. Yellow
E. C2991 Nissan GT-R... 5. Silver (still have to wait to stick this number on this car as soon as GG gets it)
F. C2990 Nissan GT-R... 6. Red

Image

I also filed the front of the guide blades plus got a display board made for the 6 cars.

Reminder: Arden & Ramesh don't forget those M21 silicone tyres :) and hopefully the NSS class should be ready soon.

Fellas,

Just five more days till (Thurs. 1st. May) next racing event and five more chips still needed ... You're hearing one or two solutions about getting them but nothing for certain - so how about some earnest feedback here guys :|

Remember one car is chipped already and it will take, just under a hour (providing the chips are looked after) to chip the other five cars.
