Post by gordon »

Hi Guys,

FRC will be open for practice/testing from 7:00 PM this Thursday (15th), followed by qualifying and racing. Scheduled classes are Lambo Series - 6 races @ 25 laps, F1 - 5 races @ 35 laps. Please bring your F1 cars ready to go. Here's the proposed schedule:
  • 8:00 PM - Qualifying followed by racing. Drivers not ready when called to grid will be replaced by any standby drivers who are ready.
  • After racing - Packing up and liming/old talk (but not too late!).
You can see all the class regulations here and the general racing regulations here.

Don't forget to bring along some refreshments.

Ice Brigade: Luke B. (1 bag please).

Boo, both Debbie and I had a great time on Saturday. It was really nice to be amongst family, old friends and my slot racing buddies in a social manner, at a place with a wonderful atmosphere. And it was the people present that made the atmosphere so great.

Look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Great action pictures GG 8-)

Hey - I remember that F1 race!!!

For those of you who dont know - thats Ralf Schumacher's big (air·borne) crash at the start of the 2002 Australian F1 GP... When I saw that race back then, to this day I still say Rubens (looked for that, he) made a bad "double" block on Ralf into the first corner... No double blocking in F1 racing again though ;)

Check/Watch this (2 mins into the vid for sure & pause it) and tell me if I am not right :?:

Ralf was who I supported back in those '02 days ~ Alonso (Renault test driver) was up & coming but I didnt know much of him as I know now, and thats who I support 100% today :)

Good spotting Luke. You really know that era of F1. As for who's to blame, ex-F1 driver John Watson commentating seems to think that it was Ralph "outbreaking himself", but I tend to agree with you. That crazy weaving at the start of F1 races is stupid and I'm glad its now illegal. How could Ralph have expected Rubens to weave back across his nosecone? He was already setting up to brake late and keep on the outside when Rubens came across.
