RACE REPORT #119 - March 7TH 2013

Hi Guys,

A turnout of nine drivers saw the need to split one class into A and B subgroups for the first time in quite a while. It also introduced one of the quickest digital novices we've ever had at FRC in Ramesh's son Luke. To top the night off Mike had his maiden win in an FRC event, making it a pretty special night for him at the track.

New Lap Records

Newcomer Luke may also have broken an FRC record by setting a new qualifying lap record in his first Q-session:
  • Vintage Sports - 6.014 sec (Luke B., Scalextric Ford GT40)

The results

Congratulations to the winners.

Next event's classes: Lambo Series - 6 races @ 30 laps, F1 - 3 races @ 30 laps, Modified Production - 3 races @ 30 laps. Don't forget to see the updated fastest times for the FRC classes to know what the benchmarks are for your cars. Also of interest are the updated class average qualifying times.

See you on the circuit...

Heyyy GG - I didnt realize (on race night) you won all 3 SC races...

Great job man and me doing that same thing in RGT/A. - sent a sweet control message to the South boys :D

Ent Doc. hehehehe

Hard luck Steve with Mike taking his FRC win in RGT/B.

Gordon ~ You remember this suggestion for FRC's racing regulations...

Out of the 13 FRC's classes, there is 4 groupings {(PC & HS) (VS, RGT & SC) (LS, F1 & MP) + (FTC & RC)} with fixed slotcar racing component requirements - How about on these race nights, we have a MANDATORY (Pre or Post-Race Tech) INSPECTION for any one car (eg. by the roll of the dice or the car on Pole...) on the Grid?

I am not implying any one is breaking the regs but only thinking of guys using the forum for the right slotcar builds...

Great night of racing as usual. Thanks for getting the race report out so soon Gordon. I'm sure all involved were anxiously awaiting the results. Congrats to Mike on taking his first FRC win and to Luke B. for that lap record.
