RACE REPORT #112 - OCTOBER 10TH 2012

Once again I'm doing a summary race report. All the stats are tabulated below. One note: The number one Ferrari driven by Nicholas (Spick) and myself suffered with continuous intermittent lap recording problems, so depite some very determined driving, it all came to naught as indicated by its pitiful results.

The results

Congratulations to the winners.

Next event's classes: Porsche Cup - 6 races @ 30 laps, Historic Saloon - 3 races @ 30 laps. Don't forget to see the updated fastest times for the FRC classes to know what the benchmarks are for your cars. Also of interest are the updated class average qualifying times.

See you on the circuit...

I get to bring the ice next time ! Certainly don't mind, especially when it's the result of being champion driver of the night. The results were close though, with Luke trailing by a scant 4 points overall. Ferrari Team Challenge was a lot of fun. I was part of a good team with David ('Boo') and David (Dean) . The results would probably have looked quite different if the yellow cars of Gordon, Luke and Nick weren't acting up. Things are also getting tight in the rally class, with Nick winning 2 of the stages driving Jonathan's Citroen C4, but those being more than offset by a somewhat slow run while trying to master Gordon's ever improving Impreza. Luke's Corolla is super fast and certainly a force to be reckoned with. Having said all that, Jonathan, at 10 years old, still managed to set 2nd fastest combined time with his spectacular tail-out driving style. It would be nice to see some more competitors in the rally class though.
