Fellas,

Know you'll know that the Scalextric range over the years has often featured special sets and cars based on popular cinema and television movies.

Well, I noticed the most recent 132 car is from the (cinema screen) movie Mad Max and all produced by Scalextric.

The first name (I could vouch for) of these special Scalextric themed sets/cars was from the movie James Bond in 1967/68 ...

Here's a list of some of the other names that followed the 007 movie & straight to the most recent.
  • • James Bond 007 (classic and present day models)
    • Knight Rider
    • Spiderman
    • Mask Patrol
    • Batman (classic and present day models)
    • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
    • Starsky & Hutch
    • The Italian Job (classic and present day models)
    • Dukes of Hazzard C3044 car
    • Transformers - Bumblebee C3272A car
    • Fast and Furious C3373A cars
    • Star Wars - Battle of Endor C1288 Set
Mad Max C3697 "Last of the V8 Nitro" car
Would you'll believe I wrote Scalextric some years ago (I believe in 2002) about producing a 132 slotcar of this same car, which I kept a copy of (feedback letter) but it got totally ruined in the August 2012/Petit Valley flood waters.

Nonetheless - I'm very happy to see the proposal I made (14 years ago) "may have" been taken up by Scalextric for 2016 ...
Above is the link to (item number C3697 Ford V8 Super Charger XB Falcon) this cool looking car from Pendle Slot Racing.

Hope you'll enjoyed and could let me know (feedback) if there are any other themes I may have left out ;)

Meet the guy who drove that black Ford XB Falcon for real and with his very devoted dog - aka Dog ..!

It's Mel Gibson as Max in the movie Mad Max 2 / 1981 and the attrition/action you will see in this cinema clip (link) alone was the very start/beginning of this action packed movie ...
Although, I found the sequel (part 3 / 1985) was very disappointing & I didn't even bother to see (part 4 / 2015) the recent one ...

Nonetheless, I was and will always be a grand true blue fan of M. Gibson and his V8 Super Charger Interceptor car ... The first and second Mad Max movies was a Blast compared to the third and fourth ..!

Btw- thanks for the ratings on the forum Ramesh and hope you and the other guys enjoyed the movie clip.
