These Commodores and Falcons would be too modern for our Historic Saloon class. Would be nice for one to show up in Modified Production though.

Never realised there were so many from Scalextric alone. Agree with Steve though... one in MP would be a pleasant sight.

Hello Steve and Gordon,

I guessed that too.

Mod Prod - sounding all well and good ... but an estimated cost of $1000.00TT per car with a DPR chip, a pair Silicone rear tyres and a Motor/Pinion set-up included ...

A race with 6 Scalextric V8 Super Cars @ $1000.00 per car equals $6000.00 TT will sure make a Grand FRC IROC Special Event with 12 drivers present ent :D

BTW do you'll know what motor/chassis configuration these type cars carry :?:

Slot it 21k will work well with this class. Those cars are heavy and that slot it motor is one of the best. The other option should be NSR 20k.
My 2 cents,

1:1 V8 supercar racing is a great spectacle, but so is NASCAR when those huge American behemoths race on road courses. Would love to see one on FRC's road course, just for fun. Does anybody have one ?

Hi Arden,

I like the choice/selection of motors for the V8 chassis configuration.

I must say though - I disagree that they are heavy cars because how much more will it be, compared to a GT car about that size.

Taking into consideration, these supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (hehe) looking cars ~ the bodies are Super Resistant and that's one good aspect to note.

I will say though - they do go for a heavy price..!

Example -
  • • US / $150.00
    • UK / £85.00
    • AUD / $250.00
Electric Dreams seem to have a few for a good price ($62US) but over time if they don't sell soon, know that that is going up for sure.

If I had the funds available - I would have bought this one just for fun :)

Now wondering which one of these V8 super cars, will you & Steve choose?

Being an old Ford fan, my choice of what's left at Electric Dreams is...

Scalextric C3582 Ford Falcon (Australia) #5 Ford Performance Racing 2014 season, driven by Mark Winterbottom
