Personally, this was one of the best Scalextric ads I had ever seen through the years - I was just 17 years at the time and always remembered running to the TV to see this ad no matter what time of the day and wished I could have race slot cars just like that... Little did I know that dream (even better than I thought) was going to come true 30+ years later I wouldnt have even imagine racing so may different type slotcars (classes) at FRC today and just now at the Sando's TTSC

Thanks to Gordon in the North, Arden & Ramesh in the South for making this happen, all these years later.

You guys made me laugh this evening Luke how did you manage to even think about those ads, i have not seen that ad since sando hill was a pebble, are you still on holidays, luke just leave steve alone , dont try to get an explanation for that one. you give him enough trills as it is , steve the subaru running great.

Ramesh - Yes, I am still on holidays and back out to work on Tuesday 6th. (hey just remembered married '95 same day) & got the Monday off too because Thursday 1st. was a public holiday...To answer your question on 80s vid, I didnt even have to think about it in the slightest bit it just showed up (thats when I got the idea to post it on the forum) when spending down time looking at some favourite movieclips on youtube last night. example: The Bourne Ultimatum movie clip "fight scene" when Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) catches up to Desh (Joey Ansah) who is chasing Nicky (Julia Stiles) to harm her. Now that fight scene was some serious attrition

Sure you noticed - ATM in the 15 FRC class Championship points standings: Gordon holds 7, Steve 6, your son 1 and me 1 so Steve's 6 goes without saying why he gets so much "trills" and he seems to enjoy it too. He probably knows it comes with the territory when holding that kind of points/rankings so he should be able to manage it if he wasnt well then... Thats a different story.

Look at it this way - Lets say you or I wasnt racing @ FRC, he wouldnt be enjoying the trills he's having "for now" in the points standings
