My '60s scratch built Escort plans

Post by gordon »

Still in the '60s, amongst the items I found today are the following plans for building a 1/32 Escort BDA slot car. You can see the outline of the Escort body I drew in the chassis side-view. The last item was a parts wish-list.

Fantastic Gordon. Was the chassis a scratch-built one or were you going to modify a commercially available one ?

Steve, it was my design for a scratch-build, as far as I can remember.

It was probably based on something I had seen in one of my slot car magazines of the day, hence the comments ("New front wheel assembly...", "Moved back 3/16", "Chassis cut here", "Shortened drop arm", "Narrowed and repositioned...").
