If asked what was your best race @ FRC and could give (write) a brief description ...
What would it be ..?
Here’s the first part ~ with my reply
I would pick a F1 race on RD144 viewtopic.php?f=6&t=616 as the best.
A brief description to follow later on

Your Best Race @ FRC
Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
Nice one Luke. Imagine if we had five races per class now !
Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
It’s about 7 years ago ...
Thinking if Ramesh & Son was racing … could just imagine what the results would be like
Steve, after all this time … what is your best race @ FRC

Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
I honestly can't remember a best race or even a best event. Race results very often leave much to be desired but in general, the overall night's experience has been and continues to be great .
Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
Without a doubt, looking over Race Report 144 ...
It’s well written & would like to now add, with the (5th) fifth F1 race ~ why it was my Best Race @ FRC
The four (4) of us were racing around in a close-knit and thrilling formation for a number of (maybe 5 to 6) laps and on top of that, each driver exchanging the lead & trying to keep for as long as possible.
That said ... Steve was the one who had the slightest of leads on the final lap & Arden was a close second in the next lane. Gordon and myself were bringing up the rear and both in striking distance of the front runners.
Must mention how my F1 Ferrari was handling superbly and super quick, which happened to be just behind Steve’s steady running Renault and on my left Gordon’s silent moving McLaren, closeup on Arden’s also quick moving F1 McLaren car.
Standing at controller number one ... gave me a flawless view with all those cars heading into the back straightaway, just behind the pit-lane wall and it’s where I decided to make an overtaking maneuver (in the smallest of spaces) between Steve & Arden for the lead.
Unfortunately on doing so - my left rear wheel, just knocked Arden’s right-side front wing and he was de-slotted. He immediately called a drive through but as fast as he called it, Gordon’s car was so close up on him - that it was simply knocked straight back into the slot for both of them to finish the race.
In those few seconds of a called DT penalty and then No penalty ... I quickly shoot past Steve at the Dunlop Bridge & went on to take the checkered flag. Now that was one exhilarating final lap for a race victory ..!
Not long after ... Steve walked right up to and congratulated me. Told him thanks and look how I still remember that F1 race to this day
Mind you - I can recall many other gripping races but this one won

- Here’s the second part of my (tried to be) brief description of that race:

Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
All I can say is that you real good to remember all those details !!
Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
Thanks Steve,
Clearly it wasn’t all that difficult to remember & believe you should too, especially with your ~ not 1 or 2 but 5 consecutive 2nd. place podiums

Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
Believe it or not I'm only now seeing this post. As Steve said, its amazing that you remember all these details Luke. Like Steve, I don't have a particular race or even event that was my best race at FRC. I suppose if I have one that I remember, it was the night I won a Mini IROC series of races overall by actually winning all the races. Don't think I can repeat that again, so it is memorable.
Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
Well, after going through all the Mini Challenge race reports, I finally found that I actually won 5 of the 6 races that night, not all six, so my memory was flawed. Sorry about that. Incidentally it was race report 142 (or as Luke would write it, RR142).
Re: Your Best Race @ FRC
Gordon,
Seeing how I gave you a good fight at that Mini event viewtopic.php?f=6&t=608 and noticed it’s the same 4 drivers from my F1 story
The only reason you would not repeat such a victory ... you don’t host Mini IROC events anymore
