I saw this photo as well. Lovely and very realistic. Back in the day, those Lotus Cortinas had many epic battles with the V8 engined Ford Fairlanes and Galaxies !Nice Jag as well .

I often wonder how a driver from that era would measure up against the modern boys with modern machinery ?
And the reverse of that with modern drivers against the older bunch with “no fly by wire” cars. Allowing for the never ending problem of age difference of course

I believe a good driver from any era can be considered as good as another good driver from a different era. What differentiates drivers is when they are the best within their era.

After seeing that photo, I thought that it would be nice, for variety's sake , to have a big American car in our Historical Saloon fleet. Maybe one day someone will show up with a Ford Galaxie (and that is in fact how the car name is spelled, not Galaxy).

Steve, if you think you can get a big Galaxie to lap as fast as the Capris and your MGB, go for it!

Well I don't have a Galaxie (yet !) but in the interim I have my 'taxi' , the Falcon !
