Hello Gordon,
The FRC Ruling on a Drive Through penalty (overtime) has come a very long and meticulous way ... Both in the (officially) written and recently verbalized understanding form. So much so that the many different verbal rules has brought it to a point - that the written format hasn’t been updated.
That said and not too much details here ... about a DT situation (I happened to cause) at the recent SC event. It was rather insulting how you mentioned my social and moral standards compared to the other drivers around. When in fact, I was simply playing on the written DT rules - A penalty may be assigned where the victim call a "drive-through" identifying the offending car by its colour, number or driver. If the offending car cannot be identified, this will be considered a racing incident and no penalty will apply.
Again not too much details ... but don’t think one should get so personal with slot-car racing situations!
Just thought I can easily mention thoughts here going forward.
A highly favored racing member

Personal Feelings
Re: Personal Feelings
Luke, you are correct on both levels, firstly on the way the rules are written, and secondly, but more importantly, on my making a comment questioning your morals/ethics. It was very thoughtless of me to use those words and for this I humbly apologise. There are times when we all make stupid mistakes that we later regret and for me this was one of those times.
I hope this does not in any way affect our friendship and our camaraderie at future slot car events.

Re: Personal Feelings
Thanks for withdrawing statement Gordon and as you once advised, while seated in your office talking about a (separate and) personal situation of mine ...
See you (and if not sooner) at the next FRC event
Luke
- Treat the situation as the saying goes - water under the bridge.
