These are my four (4 + 2) types of Scalextric "Power Supplies" available and did a simple survey with their respective voltage and amperage ratings.
  • Scalextric C969 Floor Mount Transformers ... 13.5V DC 2.1A .... 03 + 2 = 5
  • Scalextric C977 Wall Mount Transformers .... 19V DC 1.3A ....... 04 - 2 = 2
  • Scalextric C996 Wall Mount Transformers .... 16V DC 800mA .... 04 - 4 = 0
  • Scalextric P9203 Wall Mount Transformer .... 15V DC 1.2A ....... 01 - 1 = 0
  • Scalextric P9403 Wall Mount Transformer .... 15V DC 1.2A ....... 10 - 7 = 3 - Note: Rectangular Jack ...
  • Scalextric C7038D Wall Mount Transformer .. 15V DC 4A .......... 01 - 1 = 0
I believe the first item number C969 Transformer is the best of the lot and will never forget how I ended up with three (3) in total ... It was back in the days (2001) when I permanently had up my Scalextric 4-lane (figure-of-eight) track at home and the other racing guys wanted to upgrade from the Wall Mount Transformers ...

Long story very short - one came from (brother in-law) Christopher, one from (good friend) David aka boo and the other, belongs to me. We needed a fourth one but to (this posted day) 2017 ... Haven't come across any anywhere - we tried very hard to locate one and even came up with the bright idea of checking out garage sales whenever see any taking place. I did visit a garage sale in the area (back then) but no luck and never bothered afterwards. What I do remember though with these "classic" power packs - they carry a lot of sentimental value from the stories told!

So much so - both Christopher and David made me promise (as much as 16 years ago) never to get rid of them and if I do want to give them up ;)
  • Please give it back to them - okay :)
The End
