The six occasions the F1WC title has been settled in Brazil ...

1. 2005 - Round 17 of 19
  • BEFORE - 1. Alonso, 111 pts; 2. Raikkonen, 86 pts
    AFTER - 1. Alonso, 117 pts; 2. Raikkonen, 94 pts
2. 2006 - Round 18 of 18
  • BEFORE - 1. Alonso, 126 pts; 2. Schumacher, 116 pts
    AFTER - 1. Alonso, 134 pts; 2. Schumacher, 121 pts
3. 2007 - Round 17 of 17
  • BEFORE - 1. Hamilton, 107 pts; 2. Alonso, 103 pts; 3. Raikkonen, 100 pts
    AFTER - 1. Raikkonen, 110 pts; 2. Hamilton, 109 pts; 3. Alonso, 109 pts
4. 2008 - Round 18 of 18
  • BEFORE - 1. Hamilton, 94 pts; 2. Massa, 87 pts
    AFTER - 1. Hamilton, 98 pts; 2. Massa, 97 pts
5. 2009 - Round 16 of 17
  • BEFORE - 1. Button, 85 pts; 2. Barrichello, 71 pts; 3. Vettel, 69 pts
    AFTER - 1. Button, 89 pts; 2. Vettel, 74 pts; 3. Barrichello, 72 pts
6. 2012 - Round 20 of 20
  • BEFORE - 1. Vettel, 273 pts; 2. Alonso, 260 pts
    AFTER - 1. Vettel, 281 pts; 2. Alonso, 278 pts
... and this event (four years later) may very well go to seven ..!

7. 2016 - Two races to go (Round 20 of 21) going into BRAZIL
  • BEFORE - 1. Rosberg, 349 pts; 2. Hamilton, 330 pts
    AFTER - 1. Rosberg, 367 pts; 2. Hamilton, 355 pts
If Rosberg is victorious in this race, he wins the championship even if Hamilton comes in the next best place - second position.

Any friendly bets for this weekend .. :?:

Sorry to say fellas,

The front runners of the race isn't so special to me but some other groups of driver's (points standing) positions are the ones I am focusing on and in order listed below ...

  • BEFORE - 9. Hulkenburg 60 pts. 10. Alonso 52 pts. 11. Massa 51 pts.
    AFTER - 9. Hulkenburg 66 pts. 10. Alonso 53 pts. 11. Massa 51 pts.

    BEFORE - 7. Perez 85 pts. 8. Bottas 85 pts.
    AFTER - 7. Perez 97 pts. 8. Bottas 85 pts.

    BEFORE - 4. Vettel 187 pts. 5. Raikkonen 178 pts. 6. Verstappen 177 pts.
    AFTER - 4. Vettel 197 pts. 5. Verstappen 192 pts. 6. Raikkonen 178 pts.
F1 racing has become very uninteresting to me over the last few years but I do try to make the best of this Grand Prix competition because of one particular driver.

I need not say no more other than looking forward to the 2017 season.

Below is a list of action packed movies in sequel for my interpretation of the Brazilian Grand Prix.
  • Mad Max - Mel Gibson as Max Rockatansky
Mad Max II: The Road Warrior
    Mad Max III: Beyond Thunderdom
    Mad Max IV: Fury Road
... and now ..!
  • Mad Max V aka Formula One driver - Max Verstappen
This guy (simply put) was just fantastic ~ he made the entire race very interesting to watch ..! Also, on a number of occasions at FRC - I have heard his name mentioned and nicknamed Mad Max for his style of driving ... So I used the V (from his last name) to emphasize/describe the level of racing action he provided for all who saw (or didn't even see) this race.

Luke, you and everyone else were treated to an amazing Grand Prix yesterday courtesy the weather and Mad Max Verstappen! Aside from the number of safety car incidents and the two race stoppages, it has to be the most exciting race of the year, what with all the dramatic crashes and most of all, Max's superb driving. He just brought the whole thing alive and accomplished a Senna-type wet drive (see this: https://youtu.be/3GOEorrE4mY). Max is going to be one of the F1 greats.

Gordon,

Thanks for those 2 very entertaining video links of Ayrton and Max ... Really enjoyed watching and learnt so much more about this great type of racing sport.

Take for example with this extra link I watched titled - Top 5 Unbreakable F1 Records

Michael Schumacher was number 1 with his 91 wins but what caught me by surprise was like Nico ... and his father Keke Rosberg being a F1 driver too.

By chance I found out that Max's father Jos Verstappen was also a F1 driver in 2003 ..! I also remembered, during the Sunday Brazilian F1 race - the camera was on him (Jos Verstappen) for a short time.

Going and checkout those vids again :-)
