Neat and effective.
The second one is a BLST (Best Lane Slot Track) layout with proper racing line options. The system has anti-collision software that will prevent lane changes that result in crashing into another car. Here's a quote from the explanation in the link at the end of my post:
- "The lane changes are completely automatic, not manually triggered, all that is needed is to move closer to attempt a passing manoeuvre."
This will make for some realistic racing. You'll really have to drive around cars ahead to move up in position, just like the real thing. Notice that even the crash-barrier walls are overlapped in the correct direction. Notice too the Scalextric power base with start line straight. Up to 15 cars are supported! Very cool.
