FRC's Power Supply Unit

Post by Luke »

FRC's Power Supply Unit ~ The maintenance was completed this evening :)

Kerwin and myself did this job (mostly Kerwin's know-how) and it was completed under a hour. When the cover was removed, there wasnt much dust around (inside) the unit but the cooling fan did have a little more than normal. Nevertheless - the entire electrical system was dusted out and wiped clean.

Although, when putting back the top cover - noticed (at the back of unit) there was one "yellow" wire broken from its connection. Got it soldered back stronger and all other wires looked strong too... Covered back up and powered it up, just to make sure ... and all was looking normal.

Its all ready for delivery and in time for the next FRC event - GT and LMP classes (maybe) before the Endurance "2 hours" Event ;)

Thanks Luke and Kerwin. As Steve mentioned, it would be great to see you racing at FRC again Kerwin, even if you can't make it on a regular basis.
