Some ways to fine-tune for passing the USD rule

If car is sticking to block:
  • Increase the car's ride height by installing taller rear and/or front wheels/tyres, adding guide flag spacer(s), reducing motor pod offset or by any other means that is legal for the class.
  • Add weight as far away from the strongest magnet as possible but ahead of and within 2.5" of the rear axle.
  • Reduce magnet strength by installing weaker magnets or removing stacked magnets.
  • Move magnet(s) closer to (but not behind) the rear axle or to the lighter end of car (front or back, whichever is lighter), once legal for the class.
If car is falling off the block easily:
  • Decrease the car's ride height by installing shorter rear and/or front wheels/tyres, removing installed guide flag spacer(s), increasing motor pod offset or by any other means that is legal for the class.
  • Remove or reduce any weight that has been added to the car.
  • Increase magnet strength by installing stronger magnets or stacking magnets onto those already installed.
