Did you'll notice the position for a F1 DPR Chip

I guess it uses the F1 DPR chip.

I'd like to have a drive with one of these karts. Digitizing would be easy with the DPR chip. I wonder what motor is fitted though- although rated at 18,000 rpm, it doesn't look like any regular Scalextric motor.

I have no plans to officially run anything but 1/32 scale machines at FRC, so playing with them is fine, but no formal racing.

Just read that Scalextric claim its 1/32 scale. I checked the CIKFIA website and the maximum allowed kart dimensions are 210cm x 140cm. At 1/32 scale that translates to 6.5cm x 4.4cm (or 2.6" x 1.4"), pretty small. Lets see how big they actually are when that info is available.

In the photos, I do find that they look kind of big for 1/32 scale.

Maybe with those (inch-perfect) micro sizing - looking like its the Micro Scalextric (W8056) type motors.

GG and Steve,
Looking over this post again - what's really out of proportion to me, is those front and rear tyres and sure there's no silicone or zero grip tyres (that size) for it yet ...
All the same, the overall slot-kart is looking very interesting and after racing 132 slotcars all these years - it may be a very different type drive. Back in the early days (late 70s to be exact) use to only see Scalextric pics of these type karts, always wanted to try out racing these supposedly looking go karts if I could only get my hands on one - but it didn't happen.
Strange enough though - great to see they're being reproduced after all these years.
Mind you, the name at the side of the kart - Rapture - sounds very action-packed ..!
